Help! I almost forgot!

I mentioned before that we're throwing one of DH's coworker's and his wife a Baby Shower/BBQ next week because they don't really know many people over here. I completely forgot it was coming up so soon.

Here's the thing, it's going to be 4 women and about 10 guys, so I don't want to do the traditional baby shower type thing. I thought we could just have it casual and maybe have a couple of games - Arek really likes the drinking beer from baby bottle game and I thought that might be amusing to have the guys do.

In terms of food we're thinking Arek will Bbq a tri-trip and some sort of chicken, I'll make a couple of salads, some rolls and some cookies. Is that sufficient?

Any other ideas?

    BBQ sounds good!

Do you have a sam's/costco card?  I think you do...  Anyway- get a tub of potato salad, and do a pasta salad (I have a macaroni and italian pasta salad recipe I love if you want it) and some kind of corn salad or something.

Instead of cookies, do cupcakes from costco/sams- cheap and you dont have to worry about plates and serving it :)

If you want to do a favor, maybe bake cookies (if you are set on doing cookies) and put in bags tied with a bow.

If you want to do decor, I love this bloggers ideas:

  • Well K has it covered. I like her ideas.

    Have fun

  • Thanks! I have a good macaroni salad recipe that I usually make. I HAVE to make the cookies, lol!!!! I would never buy cupcakes from Costco - Arek's coworkers would never like me again! They've been asking why I haven't been baking them many cookies lately! lol!
