Hello All!
As most of you know, I'm new to the area. Barkley (my sweet little Shih Tzu) has had some adjustment issues. We moved from a SFH to a smaller place with no yard -- so it's tough for him. He also grew up with his brother from his litter (Barney....) and they don't get to see each other anymore.
Anyway -- it's been tough on the little guy.
Do any of you have recommendations on places to take him? He doesn't like to be away from us, so any opportunity to bring him with is welcome. He also isn't tiny (like standard shih tzu's), so he isn't a "bag-worthy" pet.
We live in the South Bay, but any reco's on dog parks, restaurants, shops in any area that welcome four-legged friends are VERY appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!!!
Re: Dog Friendly Cafes/Shops?
Again welcome to so. cal! There is a great dog beach in Huntington beach where we take our chihuahua mutts all the time. They have a blast!
As far as other places. I live in W. Hollywood so I know that area better. I know Century City Mall and The Grove at pet friendly. Most of the stores in Beverly Hills are pet friendly.
Here is are some great websites for you:

There are two amazing restaurants right here in our little town of Studio City that I adore.
Aroma Cafe and Caioti both are very dog friendly and both have delicious food!
If you enjoy hiking then you might want to check out Runyon Canyon, they allow dogs on leash. There is also a great off leash dog park on Laurel Canyon and Mulholland!
Enjoy x

My husband and I take our dogs to Ventura Harbor Village almost every weekend. Practically every restaurant allows dogs on the patio and there is a huge grass area where you can play with your dogs and throw a ball, etc. A million people take there so it's a great place for your dogs to "say Hi" to other canines.
If you go further down to the pier, the right side is dog-friendly and they allow dogs to play in the sand and water.
