So this has just been a funky week for me overall. It always helps when I can focus on some of the things I'm thankful for and to hear what other people are thankful for as well! So please share! What are some of the things you're thankful for?
Re: Thankful Thursday...
I'm thankful for my job (even though I sometimes have "those days"). And I'm thankful that DH and I are in a living situation that gives us flexibilty if something happens I don't have this job anymore.
I'm thankful for "my" high school Seniors that just graduated and the time I've had to spend with them the last 4+ years. Watching them grow on so many levels has been such a gift.
I'm thankful that I have a husband who is supportive of my dreams and knows just the right ways to be supportive.
I am thankful for warm, sunshiney mornings and caramel macchiatos when I have to be at work at 6:30am.
MY BLOG!
I'm actually thankful that I"m working the later shift today (12-8). I normally hate getting up and having hours of time to kill before going to work. I generally like to get up and get moving. But this morning has been really nice! I got to sleep in, and now I"m snuggling with my dog. Nice and relaxing!
I'm also thankful for our new floors. We replaced our old carpet with wood laminate in the living room/dining room/hallway. It looks and feels super. (Poor Pugsly, though.... having traction issues!)
I'm thankful for my wonderful husband. Yesterday was his birthday and we had such a great time. We went to Kevin Gillespie's (from Top Chef) restaurant last night, and did a 5 course blind tasting. It was PHENOM.
I'm also thankful that we have an A/C that works... it's been like 100 degrees this whole week! It's gross.
I'm also really thankful for my coworkers (all but that one chick from last week). I've been writing and they've been a powerhouse in helping me edit. And we support each other from the wrath of the bosses. These people are the reason why I love science. (Did I really just say that?)
Thanks for posting this. It seems this week I need to remind myself of the good things I have in my life : )
I am thankful to have a newer car that runs well and has very cold AC. (The other day my car got hailed on and there's some minor damage. I was pretty upset about it, mainly because it's only a year and a half old and has just over 12k on it, so it's otherwise like new. Prior to getting it I was driving an old POS car that was falling apart and had no AC, yet it got hailed on several times and was in a fender-bender and not a scratch).
I am thankful to have friends and family who truly care about me and want me and my new business to do well. They are promoting, promoting, promoting me without my asking, and it really means a lot.
I am thankful to have a hubby who cares about me and my success more than himself right now. He doesn't give a second thought or complain about helping me with a computer/printer that isn't working after he's already put in a 10-hour day himself.
I am thankful to have a nice place to live. Sometimes I get really down because we aren't in the buying process/have bought a home yet, but I have to remind myself that we have a pretty decent rental, it isn't terribly expensive, and we could be living somewhere a lot worse.
I'm thankful for the Mr. He's pretty much everything I ever wanted in a guy with the exception of the whole past job drama...which I hope is on the way to being over.
I'm thankful that my family are the kind of people that encourage you to be outside the box and not what society thinks you should be.
I'm thankful that I live in a country that is peaceful and relatively non violent (as in low crime). That I have the ability to travel freely and not be prosecuted just for being a girl.
I'm also thankful that DH and I both have jobs. It could be so much worse right now. I really like my job too, that's a huge plus. DH hates his, but he sticks it out and goes every single day (except for the 1 day a week he can't go because they cut his hours and pay), and I love him for going. A lot of guys would be like, "this sucks, I quit," but he hasn't.
I'm also thankful that my puppy is healthy (he's the one I posted about earlier this month because of his tumor).
I'm thankful that DH and I love each other so much. DH's dad told him something like "your mom and I are going through a rough time right now," whatever that means... then his mom said something like, "just remember, use kind words to each other all the time," whatever THAT means... So we don't know what's going on with them, but it makes me thankful that we love each other so much and that we get along so well. He's the best friend I've ever had too.
I'm thankful for my family and especially that everyone is healthy right now. We had a scare with my grandmother last week, but everything turned out to be okay.
I'm thankful that both DH and I have jobs right now, even if we don't love them. DH's work environment is very stressful and I think they resent him a little for not making every case an emergency, but he hangs in there and I am so grateful for him.

I am thankful for my "new" family and especially my sweet MIL, who not only is letting us stay with her until we get settled, but she also visited my Mommom in the hospital and rehab in Michigan while she was stuck there after her incident at the airport.
I am also thankful for my DH who doesn't want me to take a job I will be unhappy with any more than I do.
I am thankful for my wonderful husband. He is my everything and best fried.
I am thankful for our son Jaiden. Even though he wasnt planned, I have no idea how in the world I could live without him. No matter how much of a bad day I had, when I look at him and he gives me that smile it melts my heart and makes my day sooo much better.
I am thankful for my wonderful parents and grandparents. Without them we wouldnt be where we are today.
