Kale

We got our first farm box last night.  One of the things in it is a bunch of kale.

I'll have to admit...I'm not sure I've ever eaten kale.  Can you just tear it up and make a salad from it?  Should I cook it?  If so, how?

Kale is a very mild type of mustard green.  SOOOO yummy and good for you.  Clean it real good to make sure all of the sand is out and cut off the thicker stems.  Stick it in a skillet with melted butter or oil and wilt it to your preferred tenderness.  I usually season it with salt, pepper and garlic powder, and finely chop up green onion or shallot with it.
