If someone buys you a plant for your garden, and it dies. Do you replace it, fess up, ignore it ever happened?
My Mom bought a new rose bush every year for like 5 years and it kept dying 
I don't think my brother even remembered that he had bought her the original rose bush.
I just replaced a clematis and am willing it to grow a bit more before thursday when my Dad comes.
