Columbia Girls!!!!

Hey I am newly married and moved to Columbia about a year ago and really hated it I am starting to settle in and enjoy it more.  My DH went to school at USC so hes been here for several years and has friends here, who are wonderful but I always feel like they are his friends so I just wanted to reach out to anyone in the Columbia area if you all have any get togethers or any thing I would love to meet new friends here!!!!!

Hi and welcome!  I'm sorry you haven't liked it much....we moved here last Fall and I love the area but sadly, we're moving again for my BF's job.  Unfortunately, this board isn't as active as some of the others and it seems that most of the girls here are in the Greenville area.  They have GTG's but since I've been here, I haven't heard of any in the Cola area.  I do know that there are a few other newbies in the area, so hopefully you can hook up with them and get to know each other!

I'm moving to Cola the end of this month! I just got a job with one of the school districts (shocking that they're hiring, I know). DH will join me once he finishes his degree in December. It would be nice to have a GTG for new and not-so-new Columbia ladies!

Welcome to Columbia. I have lived here for 6 years and graduated from USC. DH and I LOVE it here. It's the best of  both worlds for us. I am a big city girl and he is from a small southern town. Plus we love the close proximity of the mountains and the beaches.

I moved here a little over a year ago from Charleston with my husband and still haven't met anyone here. I think I'd like Columbia more if I had some girl friends to hang out with. I'd love to have a get together!

Any gtg would be great.  Just throw out ideas and suggestions and we can go from there.  Mrs. Edwards I grew up in Summerville and moved here a litte over a year ago as well.
