I got a free alarm system last night!
Dallas and I have been putting off having a home alarm system installed. So, last night a rep from APX showed up at the door. Because we are only one of a few occupied homes in our development, they asked if they could install an alarm system in the house in exchange for us leaving a larger than usual sign on our front yard as a way of advertising their business. SCORE! lol Absolutely. The whole system is wireless and has a bunch of cool gadgets (you can control it all online) and they had it installed in less than 2 hours. We got over $3700 worth of equipment installed...for free. We will be responsible to pay the monthly monitoring, but it's less than $50/month, and we'll save that on our home insurance, so it's even steven. Cool, huh?

Thats awesome... I love it when things go your way...
Similarly, but on a much smaller scale, the lawn guys who spray my neighbours lawn took pity on our lawn one morning and sprayed the front yard to while they were doing the neighbours.
