All y'all are making the next GTG date hard!
Has anyone else noticed the ties?
It looks like we're down to:
July 3rd in the early afternoon
July 4th in the early afternoon
Or another date completely. Except for Saturdays starting on July 10th we can host anytime. Break the ties, ladies, break the ties! : )

Alright, I'm calling the tie broken. : )
We're going to do it on July 3rd in the early afternoon. Like 1ish or so? Everyone is welcome to stay as long as they'd like. Now, about food . . .
Do "Build your own" kabobs appeal? It'd be super easy to buy a bunch of meat and marinate them, and prep a ton of fresh veggies. They'd be easy to toss on the grill after people assemble whatever they want to eat.
For drinks, I can mix up a couple of pans of lush slush. It's a family recipe that everyone seems to like, even guys. We'll probably have some beer on hand, but if there's something specific people want I guess people should bring their own?

Good! It will be nice to meet him. And yay for staying for more than a drink or two. : )
Ann, your salad sounds yummy! Can you leave a little side of some without avocado? I'm allergic to those, too.
Hi Em!
I was thinking of bringing Bink with me, but I'm a little nervous around new dogs. Did you plan to have Nan away? If not, I will leave Bink with Daddy. No need to crate her just for us.
That is an excellent question that I've been trying to figure out. She crates beautifully when we leave, and even when it's just us (in fact she's still crated even though I've been up since 8 because she's been snoring her morning away). But, she barks when we crate her when people have been visiting and we leave. I was hoping to crate her for awhile, and release her as a reward for being good. And then repeat a couple of times so she gets the hint. However, I'd rather see Baby Bink than work on her crate-when-we-have-guests-manners. Just don't judge if she gets whiney or barkey and I have to holler at her to hush her mouth. And you should totally bring T along!
OK, will do. Are you ok with cilantro? It's a cilantro-lime dressing.

I actually am! I used to be one of those people who would freak out because it tastes like soap or whatever, but I've forced myself to learn to like it. Oh the sacrifices for good food!
**Em--Just want to clarify. Is this the GTG that we are bringing our husbands along to meet everyone? I know we had talked about doing something like that this summer.
Umm . . . I thought it was. Am I wrong? I don't know how to grill, so I was planning on making Jeff do that part for me. And his brother will probably be in town that weekend. So, I say bring the husbands!
