I just finished the 30 Day Shred and there is no way I would have been able to do it without your support.  This is the longest I've ever been dedicated to any type of exercise.  I lost seven pounds and gained a ton of muscle!  I feel healthier now than I ever have.  I just can't thank you all enough for doing it with me and being such a great support group.

To celebrate, I'm not having a big ice cream sundae (well, maybe) ... I'm going to Target to buy heavier weights and maybe a new DVD (I want to try her Yoga Meltdown).

  • Let me know how her yoga dvd is. I went to a running store the other day to get fitted for shoes and the guy told me I need to start getting a good stretch in my hamstrings, so I was thinking of doing yoga. I don't have any good dvd's though.

    I don't think this is what the guy at the shoe store had in mind.  Jillian's yoga isn't really yoga.  There's a lot of poses, but I would describe it more as a cardio yoga.  You're constantly moving.  Today after doing it my arms feel the burn more than my legs, I don't know that it would do much for your hamstring.

    It's certainly not relaxing like regular yoga is supposed to be (I think, I never did it.)  Jillian is yammering the whole time.  She tells you to listen the breaths of her partners and mimic their breathing but over her chatting and the background music you can't hear their breath, haha. 

    The box says lose 5 lbs in a week, but that's not going to happen.  There's two levels, I only did level one after my shred and I only burned 100 calories doing it.  I'm not flexible and I have terrible balance so I struggled keeping the moves, but the moves themselves weren't hard, IYKWIM.  I was definitely sweating a bit by the end.
