Bath tub scrub?

I need a good homemade bathroom or eco safe tub scrub. I have been using the baking sode and dish detergent but its not doing the job. It does well on the walls but the floor of the tub won't come clean. Any ideas?

Re: Bath tub scrub?

  • Some of the girls have said the Magic Eraser works well.
  • I used the method bath scrub and it worked really well.  Magic Erasers work too, but they crumble apart when they get used and have to be thrown out more frequently than I prefer.
  • maybe add some borax to your baking soda/soap mixture.

i spray my shower frequently with a mixture of baking soda, dr. bronners, vinegar, and water.

then when i scrub the shower i use baking soda and soap. i have been able to keep the shower clean and the grout white.

  • Haven't tried it on the bathtub yet, but I've used it on the sink.  Greenology's bathroom cleaner I love.  I also use the wipes to.  Admittedly though, I think I might try and make mine next time.  The first thing you smell in vinegar.
  • Borax works well.  Also, have you tried washing soda?  It's got a more coarse texture than regular baking soda.
