Gourmet Menu items for Tapas party
Need some gourmet ideas for a tapas party - Thanks!
Re: Gourmet Menu items for Tapas party
I know this isn't immediately helpful- but you should check out the new Food & Wine Cookbook- the 2010 edition.
I let my mom borrow the book so I cant give you any suggestions- but there are a bunch of really great & fancy-schmancy appetizers that would work perfectly.
Crusty bread with parma prosciutto, fig jam and blue cheese or gorgonzola.
Here are some of my faves:

I would especially recommend the Croquettas de Jamon (I make them with proscuitto, which is more easily available than serrano)

This can be made in small portions.
These take a little bit off work but are well worth it. I often make them as appetizers for BBQs.
Smoked Chicken stuffed in Jalepenos and wrapped with bacon. Make sure to remove all the seeds from the jalepenos as that is what adds heat. I've done it with flavored or marinated chicken breasts too. One large chicken breasts usually equals about 12 jalepeno halfs and then I wrap it in bacon and grill it. Cook the chicken before stuffing.
