How was your weekend?

How was everyones weekend?

Ours went well. We did all of our shopping, and spent way less then I budgeted so that was good, haha! We also got to play in the pool both Saturday and Sunday. Luckly, I was feeling better by Saturday afternoon. I worked on my tan so I wont be a pasty white girl when I return home in a few weeks...

Re: How was your weekend?

  • it was good. Saturday we slept in since we had a long day flying back on Friday. I really do hate time zone changes when traveling. Then we went to Chandler Mall to pick up Father's day cards and my parents Anniversary card. Then Target and to my IL's. Ate dinner there and then to Hobby Lobby where I signed up for the Wilton's cake decorating class. Then Target again and then to Game Stop. We picked up Guitar Hero 5 so we can play against each other.

Yesterday was ok, did the remaining laundry and did grocery shopping all alone, I hate doing it alone. That's really it for Sunday. I didn't visit my dad but I did talk to him. I will see him and give him his card on Friday at their 30th anniversary dinner. Over all great weekend.

  • Our weekend was good, friday night we went and registered at Target. Umm and that was a blasty and a half! so exciting.

Saturday I woke up early to go pick up our BB then when i got home Cj was waking up... ok so i woke him up but he looked ready hahaha! we did some yard work, he thatched the grass in the front and I trimed up all the bushes and did some weeding.  After that we laid down fo what we thought would be only 5 minutes... then we woke up 3 hours later lol and took showers and got ready. We ate at Paridise Bakery then went to BBB (bed bath & beyond) for some more regirsty fun!

Yesterday we spent some time with my dad in the morning and then went home and CJ seeded the grass in the front, my mom came overt o get a clipping off our Pulmaria plant and i gave her some goodies from our BB. I cleaned the inside and did some laundry. Then we took CJ's dad and mom out to dinner then came home and relaxed in bed and then i woke up and it was monday :) 4 am on monday! lol

got Gman ready for a week of hiking/camping--went to sportsman's--hello kids in camo pants and ladies in john deere bewbie shirts-I was highly entertained by how much of a sore thumb we were-funny

  • Our weekend was low key. Friday I took the kiddos to Chuck E Cheese for a play date....obviously they loved it. Saturday we did the weekly shopping at costco, safeway, and target. DH hasn't been feeling well all weekend so for fathers day I recorded some old 49er games that he had missed for various reasons and we watched them while eating our favorite football snacks. Very slow weekend....at least I got the chance to read and blog :)
  • N2b I guess.  Fri. was a bum day & we just hung around & did stuff at the apt.

Saturday we spent unpacking from Mexico & my AZ trip, then started packing to move to AZ.  Exciting!!

Sunday we took my parents out for lunch, then ran some errands, visited w/my g-parents, then i went for a jog, & then Mark & I went for a walk & just relaxed.

Today I'm off too & was hoping to get more packing done, but Mark got hives on Sat. & they've gotten worse, not better.  We can't get him into the Dr until Fri, so he wants to go to the ER.  So that's prob. where i'll end up spending my day...just shoot me!

  • Our weekend was good.  We checked out a couple of state parks' lakes this weekend.  We've been here five years and are leaving but we wanted to see them.  Did some playground playing with Christian which he enjoyed.  We also enjoyed a low key Father's Day here and tried to stay cool.  It was warm and humid and we don't have central a/c.  YUCK!
  • fri - we went over to my parents. i watched greys anatomy dvds with my mom and hubsters played guitar hero with my dad. haha. i fell asleep around 9ish and i guess dh just had to beat my dads record and didnt wake me up to go home until 12:30!!!!

sat - i slept in til 11am!!! haha never ever do that. had brunch alone since dh had already left. watched tv ended up being sooo bored that i cut my own hair - just a trim!

sun - had father's day dinner with my parents. made a delish gf cake that everyone loved! went for a nice walk with the pups when we got home.

  • Stressful!! Friday was spent making Ryders cake. And when I say Friday, i mean ALL DAY.

Saturday: The first hour was finishing Ryders cake. Rest of the time was packing up, cooking, making emergency trip to WalMart for Ryders hat, which they didn't have. 45 minutes at the grocery store watching them blow up 15 balloons...it took THAT long. WTF. Then after being 45 minutes late to my own sons party, i finally got there. And had to endure a day of all three of my families being around. My grandma, aunt, uncle and boyfriend, sister and neice. Then the inlaws, SIL, with 6 kids. AND my dads family, his mom, sister and husband, and their granddaughter. Very hectic day. Pics and blog will be up soon.

I was SO happy when it was over!!!

Sunday: We had my niece and ryder. so it was another long day!

It was beyond slow, and full of uncomfy, awkward moments that made it hard to watch...

I have Shutter Island next in our Netflix queue.  Have you seen that?

I think that was the only part we enjoyed, it makes me laugh just thinking about it.  PS - Zooey Deschanel is identical to Katy Perry in that movie.

  • Our weekend was okay.  Super low key.

Saturday, we went to Guitar Center, DH got a new guitar.  Because he needs another one, right.  Mmm hmmm... :) Then we walked around The Dump furniture store.  Found a couch & love seat that we really liked, that was a total steal, but... we decided to wait on buying new furniture.  We ran a couple other boring errands, then came home, and watched Shutter Island.  Not sure what I think of it.  It was okay... just kind of weird, and distracting at times.  Not what I thought it would be.

Sunday, I went to the pool in the morning, then cooked breakfast/brunch for DH & I.  Then DH wanted to got to the pool, so we went again.  Did laundry, cooked a yummy chicken for dinner, and that's about it.  Pretty exciting stuff! :)

This is our compromise: since we have to wait to TTC, we can get another puppy.  Although, after meeting Brenda's bulldog, I may need a third once Ollie is bigger!

I think we should have a GTG at a dog park once it cools down a bit.

Read the book!  I liked the movie...but not as much as I liked the book.  There was so much more depth to the story/intrigue that you didn't get in the movie.  Plus since the book is totally happening inside Teddy's head, you get a bit more of a full picture vs just seeing what's happening.

I hated the end of the movie.  They don't "change" it, but they change the way it is portrayed which completely changes the feel of the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and thought Leo was amazing in the role, but it didn't hold a candle to the book.

  • 1) I LOVED 500 days of summer.  I thought it was ADORABLE!

Friday I made sugar cookies and buffalo chicken dip (thanks Shannon!), which is a huge accomplishment for me!  Then we had dinner/watched a movie with our friends (aarons 2nd cousin).  It was a lot of fun!

Saturday we did some housework in the morning, then went to the Applestore and bought my MacBook!!!  LOVE IT!  and then headed up north.  We hung out with my folks this weekend.

Sunday we saw Toy Story 3, loved it, and just relaxed/drove home.

Ugh, is it really Monday already?!

  • Our weekend had some fun parts and not so fun.

Friday we went out for dinner date night over by the biltmore at the new sushi place they opened up a few months ago. Walked around and enjoyed some frozen yogurt and enjoyed watching old movies at home.

Saturday I got served papers (I was in a car accident a few years ago and now one of the people is sueing me, she's been difficult and doesn't want to settle with the insurance company for some reason, so big headache) and of course its Friday so I can't call my insurance people to let them know til Monday.  Anyways, to have a better day we left the house, watched our nephew (who's 12) play a basketball game.  So cute watching kids play games when they are just learning the sport.  Went to one of the baby stores out in Scottsdale to show the hubby some of the things I've been researching and for him to see him in person (he's a tactile kinda person).  That evening met up with SILx3 families for bday dinner for one of the SIL and a niece.  Good day after a rocky morning.

Sunday went to church and then spent the rest of the day relaxing.

So for my Monday/Tuesday I've got house cleaning and laundry on the menu, we are getting new bedroom furniture tomorrow so I gotta get crackin soon.

  • Our weekend was pretty low-key too. We saw my brother, SIL and nephew a lot. Laid out by the pool on Sunday to get some sun. We also did a little shopping. Wow, we are so boring!

I really liked 500 Days of Summer! I mean, I know it's not the action movie of the century, but I loved how it depicted love. Not all romances are The One. I thought this had a cool and unique little way of showing that.

  • Our weekend was pretty busy:

Fri: I was off of work so I watched my nephew.
Sat: Picked up BB, cleaned, went grocery shopping and then worked
Sun: Cleaned, shopping, Taylor and Casey came over to play with the puppies and then I helped Phillip with his midterm papers.
