I'm so thankful it's OVER! I was uninvited to the ceremony on Thursday night, so needless to say I was hurt further. I put on a happy face on Saturday and joined them for a nice dinner. I think the bride could tell that something was wrong and the groom knew I'm sure that I was livid with him.
I told the bride that I'd tell her about the week in 5 years and I think she took that to mean that there was a lot more than he was telling her. It wasn't the right place or time, so maybe if she asks directly I will say a very lightened version of it, but truthfully I hope she doesn't ask right now.
Overall, she was very happy with the day. Her sister flew in from Michigan for the weekend and she was quite surprised. She liked the dress she was wearing and he did a great job of choosing colors for the bouquet and such.
