Where to donate baby bottles?

Any suggestions on where to donate baby bottles?  I've been googling women's shelters in my area (Sanford/Lake Mary) and haven't found any.

I also tried to give them away on craigslist. I have lots of Dr. Brown's Bottles and Born-Free sippy cups.

TIA

Re: Where to donate baby bottles?

  • I don't know the answer to this, but I'm very interested in the replies.  I have a bunch of Dr. Brown's bottles that were used like three times and I was wondering if people buy things like that???  They are the wide neck bottles and the nipples just weren't compatible with my son so we switched to the standard bottles.  I also have a bunch of Avent drop ins bottles and we'll be done with our regular Dr. Brown's bottles here in a couple of months.  So yeah, I have a bunch to get rid of too!  I'm assuming that no one wanted your bottles on Craigslist?
  • I put them out on craigslist for a $1--mainly trying to find someone that really needed them.  I've had such problems trying to give stuff away for free on there.  I also reached out to needy moms who had posted on there saying they were in need of baby items...no one wanted to meet me.

I hate to throw them out because I know there are probably some needy moms who could really use them.

  • What about the DCS/DCF (I forget what they're called down there)? They might be able to use them for foster homes.
    Mom to:
Miles (6 year old Maine C00n mix), Boots (5 year old Lab mix), Darla (4 year old GSD/Collie mix), Frankie (1.5 year old DSH mix), Peanut (15 months old - 09/11), and Bean (arriving Feb 2013).
  • good idea!! I will call around tomorrow.
  • I volunteer for a pregnancy center and we could really use them :)
