I did it...

..I signed up for my first weight loss competition. It's through work, and I seriously am a person that NEVER diets, not even for my wedding. But I hopped on a scale yesterday and YOWZA! HOLY WINTER LAYER(S) BATMAN! Wish me luck ladies...I'm training for a half marathon, so between that and eating much healthier (and cutting down on the wine) I hope to make some progress!

  • Good luck!  Cutting down on wine and beer would be sooo hard to do here!  We've eaten so crappy for the past few weeks, so we're trying to get back to eating well again. 
  • Good luck! I'm trying to cut back on the alcohol as well. My parents were just here recently and when they were here we would drink 2-3 glasses of wine a night. Plus we just got our first CSA share last week so that inspired me to cook healthier.

    I KNOW it would totally help, which sucks because it's totally not in the budget! :(

  • Thanks for the support ladies! Jeni is right-this gives me something to be accountable to.

    My half marathon is Labor Day weekend. I usually don't lose weight while training though, probably because I get hungrier and think I can eat more, but I hope it gives me the kick start I need!
