Bites. Pregnant so want a green solution. Help?
Help. We babysat a cat and we might have fleas now or some bug that
keeps biting me. DH has no bites. I had to go to the dermatologist
because I had a reaction to the bites (my leg swelled up and turned red -
got topical steroid and antibiotic). I usually get bit a lot but I
don't have such a severe reaction. I went out of town and was hoping it
would be better when I got back (one-time thing), but I got a few more
bites last night so we have to do something.
So, we have no
idea what's biting me but it's in our house. I guess we could bomb our
house but I want to be safe. Any ideas that are more green? Or should I
just hire a professional exterminator to be safe? Help!

Have you been vacuuming, and washing bedding? Throw out anything you sweep or vacuum up in the outside trash.
Someone posted a really effective (had tons of reviews online), safe insect repellent on MM the other day, but I can't think of it right now, and I'm not sure it'd work on fleas.
Ugh! Sorry, what a mess.
An effective way to get rid of bugs is to use diatomaceous earth. Ask at a natural pet store and follow the directions on the label.
