Help me

Make my list....Lucy and I are flying to NY tomorrow night.

I'm making a list so I don't forget anything.

Mom's especially, anything I should bring with? Anything that will help with the flights?!

My parents borrowed a pnp for Lucy and they will have a baby monitor.

TIA!

Re: Help me

  • Are you taking a direct flight?

When we flew with Will at Lucys age, we did not bring much to keep him occupied on the plane. My biggest piece of advice is to feed on take off and landing. Will would sleep on all of our flights for 95% of it so that was nice.  She's at a rough age because she's not too into toys (or is she) so that wont keep her distracted too long. Did you buy her a seat or is she lap traveling? Will was/is a lap baby.

Otherwise, for whiile you are in NH, maybe one of her blankets that she has at home. If you have any teddybears she keeps in her crib. Also, we would always bring Will's bumbo seat (it fit in the bag with his carseat as we just checked the carseat in a bag).

  • No, you can't fly direct to where I live without paying an arm and a leg.

We are taking the red eye- 4.5 hour flight then a layover and another 1 hour flight.

She is ok with some toys.

The flight leaves at 10:30 so she should be pretty well sleeping but I plan on giving her a binky during takeoff/landing.

She is lap traveling but I will ask when I get there if there are any extra seats.

I do plan on bringing her blankie that she sleeps with.

    Thanks for the reminders

oh and my plan is to keep her in the wrap most of the night so she sleeps.

  • ditto on the feeding thing!

Here's one to tuck away for when she's older and flying.  a roll of tape.  I'm not even kidding.   best.plane.toy.ever

    GL!

  • So duh on the paci/bottle while taking off/landing. you got that.

I give Ry a little Tylenol an hour before we have to get on the plane. Helps him relax and fall asleep almost right before we get on.

I take his snakies and an extra bottle. And always a toy that I've had in hiding, so he thinks its new and falls in love with it.

  • Jillian what are snakies?

    or is that snackies? haha
