im planning to do the master cleanse diet/lemonade diet thing. i have everything i need and im planning to start tomorrow. now, 1st of i am not doing this with hopes of losing a ton of weight, 2nd i know this is not a miracle cure, 3rd i am doing this for the 'cleansing' part, the weight loss is a bonus in my book. i plan to do it for either 3 or 5 days - not the full 10.
a co-worker of mine did it and felt so great after. has anyone done this before or something simliar?!?! any tips or advice? tia.
Re: Master Cleanse
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
here's the wikipedia summary: The Master Cleanse, also known as the Lemon Cleanse and the Maple Syrup Diet, is a body and mind detoxification program created by alternative medicine performer Stanley Burroughs in 1941. In the mid-nineties it was made popular by Peter Glickman by promoting Burroughs' regimen to a modern audience. Burroughs states that it is a detoxification program that aids in the removal of allegedly harmful, nonspecific toxins from within the body, as well as a reducing diet for loss of weight, a cure for ulcers and a general panacea resulting in "the correction of all disorders. However, there is no empirical, peer-reviewed evidence that this diet achieves anything beyond temporary weight loss.
basically, you drink a lemonade type water throughout the day, 6-8 times/servings, normally for 10 days. this cleanses your body of all toxins.
Lol. Nope, no food. I could never do it either.

hahah thats why im not doing the full 10 days at first. but if my cw could do it so can i. plus, most hunger comes from a lack of fluids in your body anyways.
I really wanted to do that a couple of years ago and a friend told me she did it. She felt awesome after BUT she said she spent a whole lot of time in the bathroom!! It really does clean you out!! I couldn't dedicate that much time to the potty!!
Good luck!
lol.... maybe if you took a week off to do spring cleaning this would work
Oh my, I love food way too much to do this.
Have you seen the kick start part of the "flat belly diet"? My mom did this diet and she lost quite a bit of weight and it wasn't a hard diet to follow. The first part of it is a cleanse but you can eat with it..just limited choices.
LOL! I actually thought about that before! But now with my son there is NO way I could guarantee time to potty when I needed to!!
