Has anyone ever used Scotch Guard on their furniture? If so, how does scotch guard do against dirty puppy feet? Also, does it make the fabric feel gross and uncomfy?
Has anyone ever used fabric spray paint? If so, was it a good or bad experience? Were you happy with the outcome?
Re: Fabric ?s
I've used scotch guard on fabric other than furniture....It's been a long time, so I don't know if the formula for it has changed, but when I did it left the fabric feeling crispy at first, until the fabric had a chance to kinda break it up on it's own. I know that probably doesnt make sense, but not sure how else to describe it? What are you looking for scotch guard?
I'm trying to decorate our living room, and we've been playing musical chairs with furniture.
Now...I'm considering a layout that involves the white microfiber sofa I despise. I hate it for two reasons...my puppy's dirty paw prints show, and microfiber shows fingerprints (like suede).
I'm hoping to ignore the second issue, and that scotch guard will magically combat the paw print dilemma.

Well, thankfully microfiber is easy to clean....we have a very very light tan couch and it wipes clean pretty easily (Dog & Cat).....Good luck with the scotch guarding...it should do the trick? And if not...accent pillows and a coverslip! LOL
In an earlier post, everyone was saying microfiber is easy to clean...maybe I'm doing something wrong...but its definitely not easy keeping mine clean.
How do you clean yours? Doesn't it drive you crazy seeing all the smudges from ppl's fingers?
Unfortunately, they don't make slipcovers big enough for our stupid couch. Its deeper than standard couches. Its just a big PITA.

If its a smudge (dog dirt), I usually take a wet towl and use like a drop of soap and rub the stain out, and the repeat without soap. But if it's something crusty (we had a problem with doggy rawhide bones leaving marks until I banned them for other reasons), a wet towl usually takes that off pretty well. Maybe because yours is white it's hard to get clean? The fingerprint marks on the tan couch doesn't drive me nearly as crazy as the ones on our chocolate brown ones LOL

This drives me batty and is primarily why I can't stand microfiber/suede fabrics. Every time I walk by our couches I have to smooth them out...it's ridiculous.
I used to do this too, but I realized those stupid couches would never look good.
I'm glad you knew what I was referring to, I wasn't quite sure how to describe it. Lol.

When we bought our microfiber couches, they told us about this cleaner that's alcohol based to clean them. It is AMAZING! Takes dirt off, stains, etc. When I get home, I can look up the name of it. It's in a blue & orange tin.
