hi hi hi
my gma (we call her "mama"), was diagnosed with cancer back in 1996. at that point, the doctors gave her 6 months to live.
since then, she's had a stroke, a fall, broken bones, pneumonia, a resurgence of the cancer, etc... all the time the doctors gave her less than 6 months to live. she always proved everyone wrong.
this morning, God exchanged her earthly body for a heavenly one.
the reason why i call this "a lil bit of wedding history" is because i'm so thankful that she was able to come to our wedding almost 2 years ago.
i had hired a caretaker for her, hawaii paratransit services, ADA room, etc. and she had a blast.
she wouldn't want to go to bed and was always wanting to be out past midnight.
hahaha mind you, she was in a wheelchair and one of her eyes was already shut due to the disease.
i'm just very very thankful for her coming to the wedding and for the life she lived....
so i just want to say thank you to you guys. this is such a great online community/family... a lot of the knotties at the time were so supportive when i was talking about my grandma during that time. (my mom's mom. and yes, my mom is doing much better these days too.)
Re: a lil bit of wedding history
Oh Jenn, I am SO sorry for your loss. (((hugs)))
It sounds like she had a wonderful life (I love that she wanted to be out past midnight!), and was lucky to have a granddaughter who loved her as much as you did.
I couldn't say it better myself. How wonderful that you were able to ensure she could be at your wedding....what a beautiful memory!
hi hi hi
Ohhh Jenn, so sorry to hear about your momma. She sure gave so much love to you and you gave her the same in return. What an incredible bond you both shared and so blessed to have each other. Truly wonderful
Thinking of you and sending loads of hugs hugs hugs
