How to figure out Square Footage?
I'm trying to get an idea as to how much it would cost us to put tile in our future kitchen and ceramic hardwood looking tiles in the living room.
Is it length times width divided by 144?
So, if the living room is 15x19 feet, would it be 180 (in) x 228 (in) then /144 to= 285 sq feet? Or am I completely off?
Thanks!

Re: How to figure out Square Footage?
Not sure how to figure that out (DH did the math on ours..I don't do math)....
BUT what he did tell me is to keep in mind that if you rip up the flooring, you might have to re-do the base molding depending on how it was initially installed. Sometimes people put the tile in after the molding is done, and sometimes it is done before. I never would have thought of that...
This. Don't complicate yourself
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
haha That's funny! Wow...WAY easier! Thank you!
And I didn't know about the baseboards either. I've never done ANY house renovating at all so this should be interesting! HAHA
It's amazing how new baseboards can make a room look so beautiful! It's one of those things you never really notice until you get new ones... then you're like, "Holy god, this looks amazing!"
Each time we got new flooring (first laminate for the living areas, and then carpet for the bedrooms), we went to home depot and bought a pretty, basic baseboard (the wooden ones that aren't pre-painted, cuz they're cheaper). Then we bought white spray paint (we asked the paint guy which kind to buy for baseboards), painted them ourselves, and the floor guys installed them for us for free (we got our flooring done through Empire both times).
Awesome to know. Thanks, Meghan!!! I can't wait to get buying some of this stuff. HURRY UP WELLS FARGO!!!
