What's everyone doing? I want to plan something different this year. Maybe a daytrip or staycation.
Re: Plans for the fourth
No plans yet...
*Probably* swimming & BBQ at my parents house.
Did everyone get Monday (July 5th) off?
ETA: We are getting our new puppy baby around this time, sooo excited!
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
We will be celebrating on the 3rd. The 3rd is Hubs birthday and we always go to the Dbacks/Dodgers game and after the game there are fireworks. Hubs works on the 4th, so I think I will be staying with the family for a bit.
I do have the 5th off, yay!!
Click Me
Not much.
DD's 1st birthday is the 2nd and we will be having her party on the 3rd so we will probably just BBQ with the fam here and relax after all the partying
The Life of the E Family
maybe do a day trip up to bisbee az, its about 1 hr or so west of tucson. its an old mining town and the 4th is kinda a big deal there. its sooo fun. they have a great parade, cart races down the main road, they have like a huge community bbq, and a GREAT fireworks show. all the homes are so festive and cute! my grandparents have a second home there on the main road - which is awesome. it's really a blast and reminds me of the 4th of july scenes out of a movie.
Tour de Carne (Tour de Meat)
It's this ridiculous eating competition thing that my husband and his friends do every year. His good friend Matt hosts it at his parents' house (they have this AMAZING house up in the Catalina Mountains - with a view overlooking the city). Every hour is a different meat. They weigh their food for each "event." They weigh out what they don't eat. Bread and other non-meat items don't count. They have big trophies and make a big deal out of it. lol Total boys.
Last year my husband was Duke of Dogs (I think?) for eating the most hot dogs. Ladies - don't be jealous! He has never won the whole event though. Two of his friends can usually dominate it.
But we are there all day, and we watch the different fireworks shows from all over town on Matt's parents' back patio. It's fun, and a 4th of July tradition!
Awww Shawna... you guys can come up here to California for a BBQ :-) I invited Shannon and Don and my Aunt will be here too!!! Daytime thing.. You can even swim in our crap tastic above ground pool! LoL
our exciting plans are helping his grandparents move from Prescott to Meyer.
yay
We'll be in Northern Ca with my in laws and driving home 12 hrs the next day....yuck!
I have no clue- I'm hoping to go see Sharon and Bella maybe on Monday? We're still working that part out
As for the 4th, we're lame with no plans.
