Just water.  Even before I bought all organic I just used water.

The Organic Housekeeping book suggests doing a spray of vinegar followed by a spray of hydrogen peroxide.  I do that sometimes, but not consistently.  Usually I just use water.

I am also a just water person.  And not always that, even.  If I am buy organic produce from a store, I usually forget to rinse it.  If it's stuff fresh from a farm, I rinse any visible dirt off.

I usually wash b/c the people handling it (workers and customers) may have dirty hands, and produce is just sitting out where handling, coughs and sneezes spread yucky germs.  Remember the travel practice to (wash and) peel your own fruit to prevent travellers' diarrhea?  Good practice at home, too (we are just lucky enough to have ready access to clean water.)  "Surfaces, including human hands, which come in contact with whole or cut produce represent potential points of contamination throughout the total system of growing, harvesting, packing, processing, shipping, and preparing produce for consumption," via http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/EiD/vol3no4/beuchat.htm.

I use water only, water+scrubber or  water+dish soap+scrubber.

Another vote for just water.  If it's something I grew, I usually don't even rinse them.  A little dirt never hurt anyone.

Trader Joe's sells a natural citric acid veggie wash. It's maybe 4 bucks but lasts a long time. I use that.

Just bought some veggie wash and it had been an eye opener. Even my organic stuff shed some grossness when I soaked and swished it. And since DH would have palpitations for our budget if I went all organic, I'm getting lots of use out of it.
