Bread Machine?

Hi all!

We do make bread without a machine, but not as often as I would like and we end up buying the chemical-fest bread from the store. I was thinking of investing in a bread maker, as it would seem to make the process easier - and I love the idea of setting it to be ready when we wake up!

Can anyone recommend their machine, or tell me some of the features I should be looking for?

It is SO easy - you literally dump the stuff in and turn it on (or set it for a later time like you're saying). We love it! I do make bread more frequently than I would if I didn't have it.

I totally agree, using the bread machine is so much easier, hence why I make bread more often with it. I am trying to get in the habit of making a loaf on Sunday for the week's sandwiches so I never have to buy bread in the store. I have a Sunbeam Breadmaster and it works fine, although I got it a LONG time ago from someone else so I never actually researched machines.

We have a Cuisinart bread maker that allows for a gluten-free setting, which is why we got that one. Love it!

I see them all the time at garage sales for ~$5-10. You could get one and try it out to get a feel for what you like/don't like and use that to decide on the machine you will invest in (if you don't like the one you get used). Then you can sell/donate it.
