I was going to try to be ambitious and make Isabelle's birthday cake but I think it'd be better if I just order one. We used Craig's Cakes for our wedding and like it but I don't think I want to use him for birthday cake. I'm open to any type of cake, regular cake, ice cream cake, cheesecake, cupcakes...

Re: Cakes in Madison
We did Craig's for our wedding as well.
Our new favorite cake in town is the choc cake with choc fudge icing at Lane's. It's to die for, but kind of hard to cut in the sheetcake version (we had it for my baby shower).
I also really like Rolling Pin Bakery in fitchburg. I went to a wedding in July that served three different flavors of their cakes (lemon, choc, carrot). All of them were really good. They also make a very good cake with whip cream frosting and fresh strawberries (I had that last month at a friend's 40th b-day party).
Ooh, the Rolling Pin is amazing. Strawberry is awesome, and so is their "cow" cake.
