Knock out Roses-Question

I recently planted 3 knock out roses in a row...the two on the left are not doing well and I'm not sure why. They get full fun and we are currently watering once in the morning and once in the evening until they are established. Anyone know what's causing this?

It looks like some type of leaf scorch, which could be caused by several things (biotic/abiotic).

Could be a bacterial leaf scorch, or just sunburn caused by water burning off the foliage. Make sure water doesn't get on the foliage when you water. If it is bacterial, there is no treatment or cure. To me, it doesn't look bacterial.

  • I planted 2 knock out roses about a month ago.  My mom who has a very 'green thumb' told me that rose bushes do not like water on their leaves.  Have you been watering them at the base?  I was watering them by giving them a shower, and they looked like yours.  Try watering them at the base and see if that helps.  I live in Ohio and have a complete clay base, not sure what you have.
