XP: Diy water feature?

Not sure if this is the right board for this but...

Have any of you diy'ed your own water feature in your backyard or patio?

Our lawn guy just removed a small tree that was on our patio.  It sounds weird, but when the previous owner cemented and tiled our patio, they left a little square of soil in the corner with no cement or tile, and a tree was planted there.  Unfortunately the tree didn't really have room to grow since it is IN a screened patio (helloo?) so we had it removed the other day.

Now I have a corner of soil in my patio and so I was thinking of adding my own water feature.  I know you need some kind of water holder, a pump, and then rocks or whatever, but just wondering if any of you have done it yourself??

Re: XP: Diy water feature?

  • I haven't done it but I know they sell kits at my local garden center.  If you have one that is independently owned they seem to be a welath of information on everything related to the great outdoors.
  • I have a cedar tiered fountain. All I did was fill it with water and plug it in.  PIB. It was around $100 a few years ago.

    Yes, I've done it before.

What kind of tree was it?
