Sorry it took so long to update as they gave me valum (sp?) and so I have been out of it since 8:30 this morning.
Everything went well and I go back next Thursday for bloodwork and then go back on the 8th for a pregnancy test (beta).
He said everything looked good and George had good numbers, so that made me happy.
I know why they give you valum because there was pressure and a little bit of cramping, but not too bad. It only took about 5 minutes and he was done.
Thank you girls for all your thoughts and prayers. It means a lot to George and I. I told him that Baby Peyton and/or Baby Colt will be very loved kids as they had a lot of people thinking and praying for them today and even before today. Your support means so much to us and I can't begin to tell you how much.
Tiff-The procedure that I had today is sorta like an IUI but they put the sperm in my tubes (good job explaining Carrie). Also the sperm preparation volume is increased, which I guess means they put more sperm in me then they do with an IUI. Like Carrie said it has a higher success rate than an IUI. IUI is a 20-30% success rate and FTSP has a 50-60% success rate.
I feel very good about this procedure and hopefully in 14 days we will have a positive test!
George was so sweet, he said when he was waiting for me he prayed and told God that if He gave us a child and it was a boy that he would name it Colt Daniel after Daniel in the Bible. I didn't ask him why Daniel but from what I remember of Daniel he was a brave man and was a Godly man.
I hope it is not bad luck to already say little Peyton Elizabeth and little Colt Daniel. Little Peyton wanted Wendy's for lunch and little Colt needed a frosty ![]()
Again I can't thank you gals enough.
Re: Update
Yay! Glad it seems to have gone well. The 2ww always suck, so hang in there Heather!
and I love the names!
Baby #2 - D&E - 10/1/10 @ 19w2d - thanatophoric dysplasia confirmed.
Charlotte Lillian will be forever in our hearts.
Baby #3 - Little Bean - natural miscarriage - 1/17/11 @ 5w5d
Ah! why did I think that the procedue was tomorrow?! I got mixed up I guess.
Anyway, SO glad that everything went as well as expected. I love the names!
I have a friend who just either had what you just had or IUI I'm not sure which. She got a + test 9 days after her procedure. This is her 2nd procedure and her 3rd pregnancy. Tuesday she got her first betas back and it was 328 and today her second one was 651!!! She has to wait until July 12 to find out how many peanuts are in her bag, as she put it. LOL
I hope the best for all of you! YAY for babies!!!
