Has anyone ever been to Hawaii?

My husband just found out that his work is probably sending him to Hawaii next week! He wants me to go with him! I have always wanted to go to Hawaii!! I am not sure the exact place we will be I just thought I would ask you all about it!!

aw, you are so lucky!! i went to kauai in apr 06 for work, but i had a lot of fun. it is such a beautiful island! if you do end up going to kauai let me know, and i will get you some specifics. you lucky girl you!!!

Do you know how long the plane ride is to get there?

yep, it's a long one. it's about 8-9 hrs straight, i believe. when i went i broke it up and flew from hsv to TX, and then to LA before getting on the long flight to hawaii (oahu, but then i had to take a separate trip from there to kauai). coming back i think i flew straight from oahu to atl, and that was an overnight flight (i got in at 8am). so yea, it's a long long flight. i took sleeping pills on the way back and that helped tremendously!

Yeah I'm not a big flier so I usually have to take something! We went to San Diego in the beginning of August and that was kind of long! I think I will be alright though because I will know I am going to Hawaii!!

I went back in 2000...went to Oahu and Maui....oh my gosh both are gorgeous!!  I'll agree it's a long flight.  We flew from Huntsville to Dallas and then Dallas to Oahu.  The next time I go I think I am going to fly to L.A. then onto Oahu.  Then of course you take planes from Oahu to the other islands.  I got stuck on the way there by this gigantic man who drank the whole way there!!  But the flight back was overnight so it was better because I slept. 

Lucky girl!  I'd kill to get to go back right now   ah one day!

lol, yea knowing that you are going to a tropical paradise will be enough to make the flight bearable! i hear ya though, i also hate long flights. the way there wasn't too bad b/c they play movies and stuff, but that flight back is terrible. i would suggest taking something to put you to sleep or bring lots of entertainment. i'm so excited for you!!!

YES, I have been to Maui 3 times.  We LOVE it.  We went on our HM and fell in love with the island.  We have flown from HSV and ATL.   The trip is lengthy but SOOO worth it.  It depends on where you fly out of but its around 9-11 hours.

If you are going to Maui let me know. I have tons of recommendations on food, places to go and see!!!!!!!!

I know Sarah has been (SDKRLM).  My BFF went and LOVED it.  My neighbors are there now for 10 days.  So jealous!  Definitely a place I want to visit some day.

We went to Kauai in July '06 and had the time of our lives!  I have pictures and a review of things to do in my bio.  I really need to update that thing!
