Re: Friday Confessions
Mine... DH and I haven't gotten busy since I found out I was pregnant... I'm sorta scared to after reading stories about spotting and such. But its been 2 weeks and I dont want to wait until after I see the doc in July but now I think I've built it up in my head to being a much bigger deal than it should be.

Pssh, we did get busy and I did bleed and then we both got scared. I went to the doctor, she said it's fine but no more until after the first sonogram (July 9th). Sad panda over here.
I confess I am exhausted all the time and it is really making me question whether I can handle being a parent. I mean, my child is not even the size of a pea and I am already turning in at like 10 and waking up exhausted. Yesterday I was able to do about 3 hours worth of work (I'm at home, on my summer break, and therefore working on school projects) before I had to lay on the couch the rest of the day. Is it going to get any better?

We're going to visit the ILs on Sunday and I'm absolutely dreading seeing my SIL. She makes me stabby and its getting harder and harder to bite my tongue and be nice.
Also, I'm on day 37 of this cycle and if my period doesn't show up today, I'm going to POAS tomorrow morning. I'm not really worried but hey, you never know.
I sent DH an email a C&P from mint.com about exceeding our food budget yesterday as a little heads up/warning.
A few hours later he asked me "Just how much have you been spending this week? You keep coming home with bags." Me: "Uh... not much." In reality I dropped about $100 Wednesday and another $60 yesterday.

Exactly what I'm afraid of... The exhaustion sucks - but I think I'm actually slightly better this week than I was last week.

I think the exhaustion is your body's way of saying, "Hey, I'm doing something pretty special in here. Ya mind taking it easy so I have the energy I need to make another human being?!"
I don't really have a confession to make that's any different from my normal gripes.
In fact, I'm super excited about doing nothing tonight and tomorrow and am in a really good mood.

Hi, I'm really Shag.
That's not much of a confession, but I figured I would throw it out here.
I was wondering who you were but didn't want to, you know, hassle you about it. Nice s/n.
My anniversary is Saturday.. I didn't get a gift, and probably won't (oops!)
We still haven't printed our wedding album, or used any of our $300 photo credit from out photographer.
And I've been staring at pictures of my 6 day old nephew all day instead of doing work.
Hey Shag! I was wondering too... I like the new name

It does get better
Shag - love the new name!
My confession - our 4 month dry spell ends this weekend.
Oh- mint.com will be SO good for you! I love it! We still way overspend (um, hello, I admitted our food & booze budget is $800/month) but it is so great to see both our purchases in one place. I log in and refine categories every day M-F. DH can log in too, but he never does. We both get the weekly update emails.
Shag- thanks for letting us know! I hate the AE guessing game.
I don't really have any good confessions today.
I second loving mint.com. I don't use it religiously, but it is great for getting a basic idea of where your money is going.
I've been using mint since September, but this is the first JOINT month. :-/ I'm afraid to even look at the food budget since that's one area I knew I'd end up nitpicking DH over even though I have a severe shopping addiction.
Thanks to mint I'm realizing just how much weird miscellaneous spending I never budgeted for before.
I'd have DH get the email alerts too, but then he'd see my shopping category!!

Lark - I lived on the couch in the first trimester. It does get better! Then it gets tough again...
Shag - Diggin' the new s/n.
Since there are so many sex-related confessions, I'll jump in too. I confess that I'm scared to do it for the first time postpartum on top of having no desire, but DH is chomping at the bit and can't wait to get the go-ahead from the ob next week. Ugh.
Thanks for this. It helps to know I wouldn't be the only one if it's not mind-blowing the first time back in the saddle. Some women on the 0-3 month board seem to love it and some seem to hate it. I just want to get that first time over with. (sorry, mames if you're reading this, for ending the sentence with a preposition).
