ok what are everyone's faves? planning a girls weekend.

trying to keep costs down but i'm kinda hotel snob. lol Smile found a good deal at the Hotel Indigo but it seems like its kinda out of the way...

suggestions for finding the best deal? i've been checking hotels.com/travelzoo/expedia/priceline/hotwire. other ideas?

ETA: spa recs? hoping we can all get pedicures!

Re: san antonio hotels?

  • I love quikbook.com for NYC hotels (although I can't use it anymore b/c we can only stay at certain approved places now :() and they do San Antonio so it's worth a shot.  I always find great deals and 99% of them you can cancel or change if you find a better rate there later or somewhere else.

  • We just booked our girls weekend for the Labor Day weekend in September on priceline. We did the name your own price and paid $70 plus tax for the Hyatt Regency. I entered 4star, Riverwalk area and made the offer of $70 and it was excepted. It's a nice 4star hotel on the Riverwalk and the regular price was $122 per night plus.

Oh and as for the spa we are going to the one at the Hotel Contessa. It is also a great hotel and not to far off the Riverwalk.

  • We stayed at Hotel Valencia on the Riverwalk. I remember getting a good deal through a website, but I don't remember which one. The rooms are really nice and the courtyard is pretty.
  • We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on the River Walk (I think the address is on Losoya) and loved it. It's on the main part of the River Walk and really close to the Alamo, plus it has a neat rooftop pool. I'm from S.A. and wanted to take my husband down to "be tourists" for once...we loved it!
  • The Valencia and the Contessa are both really awesome options. I stayed at the Contessa for my wedding night, and it is really lovely. And they have great food.

We really liked this one too.

  • hotel indigo in houston is one of my very favorite hotels to stay at ever. Not too snobby - but super cool and I just love love love being there. Not sure if the San antonio one is the same style - but I can't say enough good things about the houston one - and i would stay there in a hot second if there was a good deal. we have family in SA so we never stay at hotels, so i'm not help otherwise. enjoy your girls trip!
  • We like historic hotels, and we've found good prices on those websites for the Emily Morgan and the Sheraton Gunther.  The beds in both hotels are super comfy.
