wwyd?

I am begining to think that our new pup was not thrown out of a car and left for dead.

He's pretty spoiled. He sits by our feet while we eat and begs for food. It's pretty obvious that he's used to getting table food. He doesn't love being locked up at night. He would rather sleep on  or under the sofa. Then yesterday he was all excited that my truck door was open and he tried to jump it. He missed b/c it was too high and tried again. Seemed like he's been on many car rides. Maybe he fell out of a car or jumped?

Would you place a found add? what would you ask if someone called so that you knew they were talking about the right dog?

Re: wwyd?

  • I would probably place an ad, but be a little fague on description. When they call then that is when they will need to tell you the size, what color he is. I would probably just say "Lost Dog Found (maybe the type of dog also) at such and such place. If you think this is your dog please call 555-5555."

  • Yeah I was think of saying

"Pomeranian lost in the houma area. please call to identify."

  • I think it's a good idea to place an ad.

Maybe ask what name he responds to, and then call him by that name and watch for a reaction?

Does he have any unique markings anywhere?  I could tell you exactly where all of Satchel's white marks are, for example, including the one lone white hair on the side of his stomach.

Take him to your local vet to see if he was micro-chipped.  I think Carrie's suggestions are good too.
  • He was at MIL's vet where she works for 3 weeks. He is not micro-chipped.

Also, I have to ask MIL what his fur was like when he came in. I think they shaved him, so it's posibile that he doesn't really look like he did when his owners lost him. The tips of his ears are red though. I'm sure those are the same.

I like the idea about the name. Poor thing has been called 3 different names it the past month. lol

If we were to find his owners and they wanted him back, I hope they're not to p!ssed that MIL's vet neutered him. Embarrassed

I have to admit that this made me laugh out loud.  Smile

  • I agree with the pps. I don't think they'd be too upset he's been neutered. I mean, I can't help but wonder if they put up any lost posters? I'm sure someone might have seen something.
