Is there a science museum here?

My parents bought us a membership to the science museum when we lived in MN and it's good anywhere, but when I google it I don't know for sure if it's a normal science museum.

it's called:

Museum of Science & Industry

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! Re: Is there a science museum here?

  • The museum of science and industry is probably the most "traditional" science museum in Chicago.   I grew up in MN and went to the science museum there many times, and I'd say the MSI is the closest thing.    But its slightly different, because Chicago also has a dedicated natural history museum (the Field Museum) and a dedicated Planetarium (Adler).   So rather than one catch-all "science" museum, there are three different types, if that makes any sense.

    Because we're fancy like that.

  • I agree with LC. The MSI is probably the closest you're going to get to a science museum. It's one of my favorites, actually.
  • yes the MSI.  It serves as one of my best childhood memories.  loved trips to msi
