When we first established our flower garden, we tilled it and amended the soil. That was about 3 years ago. Since then, we add compost and mulch topdressing.
I transplanted something yesterday and noticed that the soil was back to being very hard clay. Is there something I can do now that the beds are full of perenniels without ripping everything out or distubing existing flowers?
