Hi ladies! Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself now that I'm officially a MRS. ![]()
I'm having a hard time with my siggy--tried to update it and lost all my links, so I'll have to work on getting that back together, along with creating a married bio.
Anyhoo, I was hoping to get some creative inspirations from you ladies...
What did you do to preserve/commemorate/display your wedding memories? We'll have our photog do an album, and we'll have a wedding video, but I love all the other details--my printed materials, some wedding trinkets, a collage of photos on the wall, etc. I'm not a scrapbooker, but was thinking of maybe a framed photo case or whatever? Is that totally dorky? Rrrr, I don't want everything to get buried away, I wish I could somehow have my wedding memories on display for me to daydream about, or within arm's reach, does that make sense?
TIA for any creative inspirations! I look forward to nesting!
Re: I'm officially a nestie! Plus a question...
Hey Liz! Welcome over here!
Just so you know, the siggies in the Nest are separate from the Knot ones. So, if you update in one area, you then have to go over and update in the other. Another byproduct of the new system.
As for memories - what about doing a shadow box? I think it's a great idea to preserve all the stuff you have and totally not dorky!

Congratulations and welcome!
Unfortunately, my stuff is all buried away. Good of you to think of this now and do something with it!
Congrats and welcome to the board!
I'm not much help in the keepsake department...we have a wedding album (actually just a photobook I made), but that's pretty much it. My veil is folded and stored in a pillowcase, my garter is stuffed in my jewelry box - you get the picture lol. The only thing I have on display is our ring orb, and that's only because we use it to store jewelry in the bathroom.
Congratulations & welcome!! I hope some wedding pics are coming soon!
Unfortunately, this is me too!! I bought a shadow box and a scrapbook with good intentions of doing something with all of the wedding stuff, but over a year later, nothing!!
I hope you are more successful than me!
Congrats, Liz!! Welcome to the board...can't wait to see your wedding pics!
I still have yet to make a wedding album and I've been married for 7 months now...I plan to make one on shutterfly. My wedding dress is cleaned and all boxed up, as is my veil. The flower I wore in my hair I have in its original packaging...jewelry is just in a box on my dresser, wedding ring dish is also in a box, guest sign in books are on my desk...so stuff is basically all over the place but I feel like I'm preserving it by keeping them nice and safe in their respective boxes, haha.

Aloha and welcome! Congrats on your marriage...
To display our wedding photos I bought a collection of black frames matted with white openings in various sizes and place our favorite photos in them and they hang in our hallway, gallery style. I also enlarged on of our fav pics and it hangs in our room.
