Organic/ Herbal pain relief

Hello Ladies, I have a situation that I am hoping you will be able to help me out with. A good friend of my is very interested in making sure she only consumes things that are natural. (Awful description, I know but I can't think of a better way to describe it.) She eats only organic foods and uses herbal remedies almost exclusively. Friday she was attacked by a dog, the dog tore a hole in her hand and she has no skin left on her little finger. I haven't personally seen how bad it is because she is an  orthodox Jew and still observed the Sabbath after she got out of the ER.

She is obviously taking medicine right now but I know she will be wanting to get off any pain medication as soon as possible. Between the strict organic diet and the strict kosher diet I feel it's best not to try and cook for her without talking to her first, but I don't want to be empty handed when I go check on her today. Flowers are also not an option because any place where I could buy eco friendly flowers is closed on the weekend. So I am thinking I will bring her a gift basket of herbal pain relief. If you lovely ladies could suggest anything that would be great, I am also doing online research, but figured I would post this here as well. Also, sorry this got so long.

Re: Organic/ Herbal pain relief

  • Not 100% positive, but for pain maybe arnica and/or bromelain?

Oil of Oregano is a natural antibiotic.

  • Thank you, but in the process of writing this, I realized I didn't have enough information to actually do something like that. So I bought organic  brownie mix at the local health food store (I totally forgot they make organic baking mixes because I always make things from scratch.) Anyways thanks for the help.

    :scratching head:

You don't have enough information to do something like...what?

    I'm very confused here.

There are a lot of great pain relievers, most notably anti-inflammatories (where most pain comes from). I especially like two compounds called Traumeel and Traumagesic.

She'll absolutely need to make sure to take all of the antibiotics given. Nasty infections may be 'natural', but are definitely not good!
