Weekend Planning!

I live in Las Vegas and my mother is coming into town Thursday the 1st till the 6th. Since I am a local and stay away from the strip. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to take her. If they did some tours that were very interesting or a show they enjoyed ( I was thinking Mystere).

Any ideas will help.

TIA

I love it here! Its great there are people always visiting you lol and gives you an excuse to go out gamble a little have some fun lol! Well as far as jobs for a female there are a lot and ones that pay well. I go to school here and there are a lot of girls that I know that work as cocktail waitress, dealers, hosts that make 50,000(min) to 80,000. I do a lot of modeling out here and make great money while I go to school. So if you are looking for a career then it is hard to get a job here, if you are looking to make good money on the strip as "waitressing" black jack dealing then yeah you can make good money and easy to get in.

  • oh yeah and a warning this city can really take over you. (mainly a warning for females) unfortunately I know someone close that this happened!
  • You might want to try posting on your local board.  They'll know better what entertainment options are available.
  • Is it hard to get a waitressing job?!!! What do you model for? Is there living like on the strip orrr... ? Humm!! I've been to Vegas Once... and I wanna go back badlyyy!!!!
  • Well they are picking especially at the new casinos like city center, wynn, encore etc. They want to know your breast size, eye color, height, weight etc. And you have to keep up with your looks and keep up with your weight, even though they technically can't fire you if your to fat for them they make you sign this survey at the beginning and it says somewhere in there that you will comply with that! Um living on the strip? You better have a lot of money A LOT! I live in southwest las vegas! I don't know any locals that live on the strip lol!
  • HUmm! lol I'm pretty good with keeping up with my looks! Is there a specific "type" that they look for?! I just got my boobies done so I'm guessing that could be a plus!! My problem is (i don't know if you looked at my other blogs!!) lol is I don't know how to pick out clothes... Being a model and all.. where do you shop? If you don't mind me asking! And what's your favorite make up to use? But no.. unfortunately I just come from a small town in MA! Def don't have a lot of $$! But BIG DREAMS! LOL :)
  • I will send you a PM
  • Okay :) Not familiar with a PM thoughhhh.. lol! Sorry! Whats that mean?!

I love visiting Vegas. Some of my favorite things to do/see (especially with a mixed crowd -- not sure if your mom is more "low key" or "up for anything") are:

    Madam Tussauds Wax Museum (Venetian)

    Phantom (Venetian)

    The CocaCola/M&M world (near MGM)

    Margaritaville (Flamingo, I think)

I've only been to one Cirque show, and that was Zumanity: The Sensual Side of Cirque de Soleli. It's somewhat risque, but I wouldn't say over the top at all. In fact, in Vegas terms, it's probably one of the more mild burlesques. Though, we did go to the "early show" (7:30) so I don't know if that one is more tame or not.
