Canon DSLR just stops working?!
I have a Canon T2i camera and I went to take it out on Saturday to take pictures and all of sudden it was not working. I tried every setting, took out the battery (which was fully charged), etc. and nothing made a difference. Every time I pressed down on the shutter button the camera would not focus and would not take a picture. I used the camera just the night before without ANY problems. Anyone experience this or have this happen!? Camera is not even 4 months old. I am looking into the warranty and sending it back today.

Re: Canon DSLR just stops working?!
I don't think so, but where do I double check? Sorry I am new at this and my manual is buried with a bunch of stuff from vacation that I have not cleaned yet. I e-mailed Canon support and their directions weren't 100% helpful but basically I was able to determine that it must be the lens (18-55). When I remove the lens and take a picture without the lens, it works. When I put back on the lens and tried, it does not work.
Honestly don't let this affect your decision. They are GREAT cameras and I have yet to know of anyone else having any issues. My mom has a T2i also and I know others with the T1i. Everyone LOVES the camera. I have already taken some amazing photos with it!
Haha, no worries. Still saving. What made you choose the T2i over the T1i if you don't mind sharing? M races atv's quite frequently and my point and shoot simply does not cut it. My main striving factor is the "burst" shooting. Not sure if that's the right phrase, but when it can take 3 pictures quickly at a time. and the recording ability... and the ability to get better zoom lenses... and...insert other cool perk here. Forgive me, coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
Back to my point: What was your deciding factor and what other perks do you like the T2i has that the T1i doesn't have?
