inexpensive, indoor kid activities?
Anyone got any neat/different ideas for indoor kid activities? Preferably free to get in (or really cheap) since i have 2 kids
I've already thought of chuck e cheese, the aquarium (expensive), science center (expensive and far), and port discovery (far, not sure of price)
Or activities that you do in your house? With this brutal heat i'm totally at a loss as to what to do with the kids...

The Bel Air library has storytime on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Regal movie theater in Abingdon has free kids movies on Tues and Wed at 10:30 (we were going to go today, but Hannah actually slept in, so we didn't make it). Mariner Point park in Joppatowne has a nice walk and tons of squirrels that aren't afraif of people and you can feed them- by some peanuts before you go. Tubing at Rock State Park or the beach at Gunpowder State Park. Those are all the things I plan to do while I am home with Hannah this summer.
does your mall have a play area? The one in Columbia does and its great and its open early - before the mall opens.
I'm sure there are jump places and kids gyms near you too, but they are probably not free.
Have you been to the beach at Gunpowder yet? If so, how was it?
You could also try craft stores - they always seem to have kids activities. You could buy some craft kits to do too - or just build some obstacle courses in the house. Can you just let the kids run around outside w/o you?
I went to Gunpowder (Hammerman area) a few weekends ago and it was nice. It's $3 per person and we packed food for the day. The water is warm too since it's river/bay vs. ocean. There are a ton of play areas at Hammerman.
Thanks! We might go this weekend.
