Making your own cleaning solutions

Hi ladies! With a LO on the way, I'm interested in making my own cleaning solutions (bathroom, kitchen, etc.). Any recommendations or "recipes" that you use? Any other advice would be appreciated. TIA!!!

I'm interested in this, also. I've made a pledge that when my current cleaners run out I'm going to refill the bottles with my own homemade ones.

3 parts water, 1 part vinegar, a few drops of essential oil (I prefer lemon or orange) in a spray bottle. That will clean just about every surface. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant, so you should be good to go with that.

Some people use a mix of olive oil and lemon juice for wood furniture/floors, but I don't have the ratios for that one. My water is really hard, so I can get away with the vinegar/water mix on my floors and I use the Method wood polish once a month on wood furniture.

For deep cleaning you can make a paste of baking soda and a little water (or vinegar if it's really bad) and scrub away.

I haven't completely converted over to home concoctions yet... I'm using the Method line of cleaning products for everything except my floors.

I agree about the vinegar and water... cleans almost everything It's a miracle worker.
