Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Got recipes?

One of my good friends has a nephew with CP, Robbie.  Robbie's mom (my friend's sister) started a foundation in her son's name to raise money for special needs children in Maine.  The kick off event to the foundation took place a few weeks ago and they raised their first few thousand dollars.

Please see her email below regarding the next goal of the foundation.  There is a link below in case you are interested in submitting recipes.  See the wikispace foundation address too.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Robbie Foundation is an organization aimed at raising money to help special needs children in Maine to obtain adaptive equipment and various alternative therapies not provided by insurance.

One of the foundation's next goals is to create a recipe book, thus it would be great to collect everyone's favorite recipes to be featured in the book! Any recipes are welcome, from appetizers and entrees to desserts and snacks. Healthy, kid-friendly recipes are especially appreciated.

If you are interested, submit a few of your favorite recipes, and pass the message on to friends and family!

Please post your name and city/town in your submission so we can give you credit in the final publication.

For more information about the foundation, look at http://robbiefoundation.wikispaces.com/

Thanks!

Re: Got recipes?

  • We actually are doing a cookbook for our March of Dimes fundraiser and are collecting recipes -- we start in 2 weeks. I don't have a recipe right now, but I do have a suggestion, add a Drink section for smoothies, shakes, floats, etc. It's something new/different that people love -- might help them sell more.
