As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

back online!

Sunday morning our power was knocked out when lightning hit our neighbor's tree. We got it back Sunday night but our window air conditioner, garage door opener, computers, modem, and digital cable were all fried. Boo!

I took the day off yesterday to call insurance, cable, etc. Now I'm at work Nesting :-) I couldn't take the withdrawal any more!

  • Yikes, that sounds like a mess!  Did you have all of the important stuff from you computer backed up?

    Yikes. Were any of them salvageable at all? That's crazy and I'm so sorry to hear all the damage.

  • well, the cable/modem were covered by Comcast. The others . . . probably not salvageable, and our insurance has a $1000 deductible and since the computers were old we probably wouldn't get much for them :-(

    Luckily I can take my laptop home from work. Poor DH will try to have to figure out something for him.
