I didn't know if you would check the other post

Can you just tell me about them? How/when you use them if you don't use them all the time? we use them all the time, we have fitteds/covers. They have snaps, we snap em on put the cover on and we are good to go

How you wash them? Do you put them in a giant mesh bag or just throw them all in with no bag? They just go into the washer, no mesh bag. I do a cold wash (with nothing) to get out any urine / poop, then a hot wash cold rinse with 1.5 tbsp crunchy clean and 3/4 tbsp pure oxygen , sometimes I add an extra cold rinse.

Then I throw them in the dryer for 20 minutes then line dry the resst of the way (this keeps them soft)

What do you do when they poop? Do you just wash it like that or do you scrape it into the toilet? she is still just breastfed so right now it just goes into the washer, once she starts solids we'll be installing a diaper sprayer, spray into the toilet and flush

What kind do you use? How many do you have in each size or do you use the one size fits all kind? We use mother ease Sandy's they are fabulous, they aren't the cutest things but really who sees them?

They basically have 2 sizes, small (8-20lbs) and large (20-35lbs)Lucy is still easily in the smalls (there are 3 snaps for the thigh and she is on the middle and she is still on the smallest waist snap.

Then we use Thirsties sized covers. We also have 2 AIO's for babysitters/church nursery

Thanks girls...please don't laugh. lol It seems simple but then I think about it and I get nervous. haha

don't be nervous! It is so easy! If you have questions please ask I'd be more than willing to help.

P.s. what diapers did you buy

  • Thanks!!!

I bought Dream Eze's...they are SO cute! I love them! They are Organice fleece inserts...well, they are sewn on so they really aren't inserts I guess.

  • Well, they are called all-in-ones but they are small so they only fit the baby until a certain weight. I don't know how that is different than sized ones. haha

  • p.s. wildflower is closing/moving so I wouldn't bank on them.

And I'll have to disagree with Shannon I think that One Size diapers wear out faster so if you are looking to use them with multiple kids I'd go with sized diapers/covers.

And As long as you have the willpower (or no money in the budget for more like us) you can keep you diapering obsession at bay.

We have definitely saved an immense amount of money.

  • all-in-ones just mean that everything (absorbant and waterproof) parts are sewn together.

You can get one size all in ones but most all in ones are sized

yeah, those are sized so you'll have to move up to the medium once they grow out. the one sized are just that, one size. so you adjust the size with different snaps on the diaper to go from 10-40lbs or whatever that particular diaper's weight range is

i'm just using prefolds and covers, so i don't think those will go out any faster than a sized one would. i just like that i won't have to have different sizes of things for 2 different kids. aside from when #2 is teeny tiny. different things work for different people

I'm not exactly sure, it's going to be zoolikins.com now though. I think they may have gotten bought out...money stuff I think was the issue

I thought you were using something like OS pockets or OS AIO's , sorry I guess I messed that up. Prefolds last a long time too

Do you use different sized prefolds or no? I thought they made those sized as well.

i have like, 2 one sized pockets i use at night with different inserts...but my daytime stash is all prefolds and covers, and a few flip stay dry inserts.

the prefolds i use currently will work in both the medium and large settings of my covers (i trifold them). so i guess for the small setting i would have to have a small set of smaller prefolds (or i could fold it over but that would be pretty bulky!). but for the small setting, i will probably use a prefold and a snappi, and then a cover.

i just like the one sized covers is all. the sized ones are sooo cute though and i've been thinking of getting a few. that turquoise and brown owl print is always in a sized cover! unless it's from prestons pants and i can't spend that much on a diaper lol.
