As you all know, my cousin is getting married (jackelopes anyone??
) and the wedding is in 7 weeks. I finally emailed my aunt and asked for info because I needed to know the dates and times of things to decide if I want to take off work or just drive the 5 hours out there the morning of. (that is looking more promising by the second since I am absolutely not going to drive another hour and a half each direction just to go to the church part of their day) I also have to get my dog booked into boarding which fills up insanely fast. Additionally, I'd sorta like to get a hotel room booked so I know that I have somewhere to sleep while I'm there.
Invites apparently are going out today but they didn't book a hotel block and my aunt said that they don't have any suggestions on where to stay. Seriously!? Seriously. I'm hauling my butt clear across the state (and I don't live in a small state) to be there for your big day and you can't even research a hotel for your guests to stay at?! AND you think that it is OK to ask your guests to drive 180 extra miles round trip because you didn't like any of the churches in the same state as your reception? This wedding is making me crabby. How inhospitable to your guests can you be?

True dat... But yay for jackelopes?
Ugh, that is frustrating! I drove myself nuts trying to find as many hotel options for guests as I could... I can't imagine saying "eff it, they can figure it out themselves"
I can't get over the ceremony and reception being 90 miles away from each other though! Are you going to both?
Nope! I decided that driving 5 hours to be there was enough for me. I'm just going to go to the party.
Well that's good!!
I'm with munkii...no doubt.
