My MIL told me that you can't dig up a Hosta to put it in a new location when they are in bloom because it will kill the flowers. I am not the gardening/plant sort of person, so I have no idea if this is true.. any insight? I couldn't find anything about it on google.

TIA!
Re: Hostas
eh Hostas are tough to kill. I wouldn't worry about it, This weekend I plan on working on my landscaping and I am going to be moving some hostas(like 6) that are starting to flower.
I figure they will be fine. The flowers might get a little wilty but even if I need to cut some off the hosta will come back next yr
Thanks ladies! A friend told me the same thing-- that she just moved some and they are fine. But my MIL is quite the "green thumb" and said they will die. But then again.. my MIL is quite the looney sometimes too. :-)
Thanks again!
