When getting a mani-pedi, do you match the nail polish OR do you pick different colors for hands and feet?

I like to get a french pedi most of the time.  As far as toes and nails matching - I don't really wear color on my nails (the second it chips it annoys me and i take it off).

i match.  i just read an article about this in oprah's magazine.  i forget the whole jest of it, but the main point was it is proper and classy to match.  they keep saying that it is tacky to not match.

IMO, i think you do what makes you happy!!!

I've done both, but I would say 90% of the time I don't pick matching colors.

I usually do french for my toes and color for my hands (if I get a mani).  I figure I can color my toes myself if I want, I'd rather it look like I got a pedicure.

Nothing ever stays on my hands so that is usually clear.  So...different!

I don't even remember the last time I got a mani!  The nailpolish comes off after a day or two, so if I get them painted I do a lighter color than my toes.

I've only had 2 mani's  & 1 pedi ever.  But for the 1 mani/ pedi (before leaving for our DW) I matched.

I've read that several places also. I don't get it. It's nail polish. On your toes. Who cares? That makes me not match even more. My small way of giving the finger to Mama O & polite society. Hahahaha.
