Random - Electric Riding Mower

I stumbled on to this last night, who knew?

Re: Random - Electric Riding Mower

  • Are electric riding mowers a new thing? I'm not really up on the riding lawn mower scene. I'd look pretty silly using one on my yard!

I have an electric mower but its corded. I wish I had a cordless one! Someday...

Still better than dealing with gas though, yuck.

  • Neat!  I also had no idea.  DH uses a push mower.  I almost wrote "we use..." but that's not fair since I have never cut our grass.

  • Cool concept, but I wonder how nasty that big ol' rechargeable battery is in a dump when it dies and what it took to manufacture it. Plus, if they stop making the battery at some point down the road the usable tool suddenly becomes useless. I'm not trying to be a downer but the battery issue is my concern with a lot of these cool cordless tools. We got several as Christmas gifts and they are so handy. But, I wonder what the trade-off is.

  • My brother's been dying for a ride-on mower for my mom's huge backyard.  I'll have to present this as an option when he's ready to purchase.

(I'm ignoring your Debbie downering, Pixie!  Stick out tongue)
