I am going to the spa on Saturday to use the gift certificate that I got for Mother's Day. I'm getting a massage, mani/pedi, facial and a hair style. Do I tip each person individually or just leave some cash at the desk and have them split up?
And how much should I tip each person? I suck at figuring this out...especially b/c I don't know how much everything costs.

Re: How do I tip?
I haven't had multiple treatments like that in a few years, but when I did, it was part of a package. I think I left money at the desk.
I'll be interested in what responses you get since I will be somewhat in your situation in a few weeks for a wedding.
I found this online, which looks helpful, but doesn't address whether to tip individually or leave a tip at the front desk. I have heard that some fancier spas leave little envelopes at the front desk, and you can write the name of the person on the outside and leave the tip at the desk.
Salon
Stylist ? 15% to 20% of the total bill
Colorist ? 15% to 20% of the total bill, but up this amount on occasion if your colorist works miracles. Also, if a stylist at the salon blow-dries and styles your hair after you visit your colorist, be sure to tip him appropriately, as well. You?ll generally be charged a reduced rate for this service after a color, so be a bit more generous in tipping for this service.
Shampoo Tech - $1 to $2
Nail Technician ? 15% to 20% of total bill.
Spa Tipping
Massage Therapist ? 10% to 20% per massage.
Aesthetician ? 10% to 20% per service.
Salon Services ? Same as above.
Spa Attendants ? At a resort spa, tip the spa attendants about 5% of your total bill at the front desk. If any particular attendant went above and beyond for you, you should tip that attendant individually. At day spas, it is not customary to tip the attendants. However, if the day spa is one that you frequent regularly and the attendants go the extra mile for you, you may want to tip here, as well.
Usually at the front desk they will have little tip envelopes that you can write the person's name and your name on.
I would tip them all - 10-20% for the full price of their services.
