Empty nest syndrome

The baby robins on our back deck all flew away last night/this morning. I enjoyed watching them grow up, but DH is happy he won't be harrassed when mowing the back yard!

I love Robins. They always hang out and keep me company when I'm out in the yard watering. They follow behind me and get all the bugs I stir up. Pretty much like the dog follows us around when we grill steaks! LOL they're like having another pet.

  • I'm waiting for the finch eggs on our back deck to hatch so we can clear the nest off the corner of our deck.....power washing/staining the deck process has been a little more difficult because of them.....
  • One of ours left this AM.  I imagine the other will be gone by tomorrow.  I love how protective the mama is, so I will put my fears that one fell out or was eat aside and hope the LO is flying off to start his or her life.
