I saw you work with immigrant families. I teach in those neighborhoods in Queens and was just curious about your experience and work.

  • Hi! I work mostly with Hispanic families (puertorican, Dominica and Mexican especially). I?m therapist with a systemic orientation, but also in our clinic we have a cultural aproach, respect and understand of the cultural issues, language... and the trauma of immigration (that now I?m having too, luckly since other position..). Mostly of our families are in the limits of poverty and in "high risk of exclusion" (I think that already excluded...) so in addition to therapy we do a lot of social work too. It?s a very beutiful program, the only one that currently survives in Public System. If you want to visit us and now more about, please, let me know and we can share experiences!!!
